Manchester United could move for RB Leipzig star

As reported by HITC (h\t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United sent scouts to watch 7-goal RB Leipzig star, Benjamin Sesko. Unfortunately, the 20-year-old failed to leave his mark on the game as his team lost 3-2 to Bayer Leverkusen.

Over the past two seasons, there has been some talk about Manchester United eyeing a move for Sesko. However, nothing has ever materialised for the team in their pursuit of the Slovenian striker.

Sesko has been very impressive early on this season scoring seven goals in just 24 appearances for the team. However, Rasmus Hojlund has recorded the same numbers while playing in a better league.

Seeing how Hojlund is already starting to find his footing at Old Trafford the team should not be looking to bring in another young forward who plays at his position.

While it could add some competition for the Danish striker, it could also end up discouraging him and ultimately hindering his progress at the club. What the team needs right now is a striker with experience.

Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund scored the winning goal against Aston Villa.

Bringing in someone with genuine Championship experience would do a lot of good for Hojlund. He will have the opportunity to learn and it will also take some pressure off his shoulders.

Fans will be hoping that all this transfer talk goes on to light a fire under Rasmus Hojlund. Once he is the finished article Manchester United will no longer need to be linked with every striker on the market, like they have been in recent times.
