The girlfriend of a Manchester United star was recently involved in a golf ball incident at the Dubai Desert Classic
Manchester United star, Scott McTominay has been enjoying his team’s Premier League winter break watching the Dubai Desert Classic. All was going well till his girlfriend, Cam Reading was struck by a golf ball.
That is the price that the 27-year-old had to pay for the best seats in the house. Luckily, Cam Reading wasn’t hurt and McTominay went on to say “You can’t actually write the script for that.” Little does Scott know, people have written more elaborate and shocking scripts in the past.
McTominay’s girlfriend ended up keeping the ball, she says that she plans on getting it signed and once that is done, it will be listed on eBay. We’re not sure if this qualifies as sports memorabilia but collectors will cash in regardless of that.
McTominay despite being a midfielder has been one of the leading scorers at Manchester United this season. In 24 appearances the English national has recorded six goals and an assist for the team.
A couple more Manchester United players have been spending their hard-earned vacation in Dubai, both Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez have been enjoying the deserts in the Middle East.
It is good to see the Red Devils kicking their feet up and relaxing for a while. The team has seen a lot of struggle this season, and this winter break should help them mentally reset and prepare for the second half.
