Manchester United’s target from Ajax says that Erik ten Hag has not been in contact with him
Manchester United have recently been linked with Ajax man, Brian Brobbey who has previously played under Erik ten Hag. The Dutch forward has been in fine form recently, garnering interest from several clubs.
Through 26 appearances this season, the 21-year-old has scored 15 goals while also recording four assists for Ajax. It is scary to think about how good Brobbey can grow to be in the right conditions.
It had been reported that the Dutch striker had been in contact with Erik ten Hag. However, Brian Brobbey has straight up denied these claims and even took a playful jibe at his former manager.

“We used to text through Whatsapp, but I think Erik is busy. I have a new number as well, so…”
It seems like Brobbey has just very subtly shot down a move to Manchester United with these claims. This marks the second time that the Red Devils have failed in their pursuit of this young talent.
However, the Old Trafford squad already has one promising striker on their team so their pursuit of Brobbey doesn’t make a lot of sense. Rasmus Hojlund may be inconsistent but he has what it takes.
It would be wise for the club to be patient with Hojlund, with a little more time on the pitch he could grow to become a world-class talent.
