Anthony Martial clears the air about his situation at Manchester United

Anthony Martial has given clarity on his situation at Manchester United as he proceeds to slam all the ‘false’ reports about him. As reported by Fabrizio Romano, the Frenchman is determined to see out his contract with the club.

His agent cleared the air and said that whatever is being said about Martial is completely ‘false’. It has been confirmed that the 28-year-old has neither been excluded from the group nor does he have any issues with Erik ten Hag.

Well with the way that he has performed recently, he can’t afford to have any issues with the coach. Moreover, Martial could be opting to stay with the club because of a lack of suitors.

He was once one of the most exciting prospects at Manchester United. However, his fall from grace has been tragic, to say the least. In 19 appearances this season the Frenchman has only recorded four goal contributions for the team.

Fans have even labelled him as a fraud for failing to live up to his potential. His bad form could be credited to his work ethic, or maybe Martial was never as good as we were led to believe in the first place.

His role on the team has been given over to Rasmus Hojlund, who has also been struggling but has been a far more consistent option than the Frenchman.

Everyone is expecting the club to move on from Martial at the end of the season. If he can’t perform for the team during the second half of the season, all possibilities of a new contract will go out the window.
