Manchester United are looking to bring in Bayern attacker who has previously played in the Premier League
As reported by Seb Ecrivain Foot (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United are looking to bring in Bayern Munich’s Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. The 34-year-old has previously played for Stoke City in the Premier League.
It is common knowledge that the Cameroon-born striker has not been happy with his playing time in Germany. It appears that he has been somewhat sidelined since the arrival of Harry Kane this summer.
He has a plethora of experience and has featured in 494 games spread throughout 10 different clubs. During his long career, he has scored 112 goals and 46 assists.
According to the report by Seb Ecrivain Foot, the Red Devils are looking to get a six-month loan deal done for the Cameroon national. This is a wise move for Manchester United who are in desperate need of some experience up front.
Moreover, signing Choupo-Moting would also benefit players like Ramus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho. The two young stars could extract a wealth of knowledge from the 34-year-old’s pool of experience.
The Cameroonian striker will also be out of contract at the end of the season. This is the perfect opportunity for Manchester United to include a buy option in the deal and lock him down for good.
