Manchester United eyeing a move for Ivan Provedel as Andre Onana continues with international duty

Andre Onana is expected to miss the next few games for Manchester United as the Cameroonian goalkeeper has arrived at AFCON. The 27-year-old raced against time to reach his team, after the Tottenham draw at Old Trafford.

Most are expecting the team to count on Altay Bayindir in his absence. However, it looks like the Red Devils might have some different plans. Much to the people’s disappointment, we might not see the Turkish goalkeeper become a mainstay.

According to the Italian publication Quotidiano Sportivo, Manchester United have been linked to experienced Serie A goalkeeper Ivan Provedel. The 29-year-old has maintained 10 clean sheets in 27 appearances this season.

Why Manchester United would want to go for another player when they already have Altay Bayindir warming the bench is still a mystery. It is a little chaotic to see the team being linked to a different player every other day.

Manchester United have been linked to several stars in recent days. We’re sure that even they might not be aware of their interest in some of these players.

Signing a new goalkeeper makes no sense for the Red Devils at this stage of the season. The team should instead be focusing on bringing in a new midfielder during the summer.
