Premier League manager confirms that Manchester United target will start his first game of the season
Premier League manager has confirmed that Manchester United target will be starting during his next game. Ivan Toney has recently come back after serving a suspension for breach of betting rules.
His impressive performances for Brentford have not gone unnoticed as the 27-year-old is wanted by some of the biggest clubs in the world. This means that the Red Devils will be facing a ton of competition for the player.
According to The Sun, apart from Manchester United both Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in acquiring this phenomenal talent. Over 128 appearances for Brentford, Toney has scored 68 goals while recording 21 assists for the team.
The scouts will surely be out as Toney takes up the captain’s armband for Brentford’s highly anticipated clash against Nottingham Forest. His coach Thomas Frank describes the player as a little boy who just wants to go out and play.
It is clear to see that the English striker has sorely missed his time away from the beautiful game. All eyes will be on Ivan Toney as he takes the stage this Friday.
Thomas Frank has also ruled out any possibilities of a January transfer for the 27-year-old. This works in Manchester United’s favour since the team didn’t have any money to sign him during the winter anyway.
