Three AFCON players that Manchester United should keep an eye out for

The AFCON has finally kicked off and Manchester United should be keeping an eye on the competition. On one hand, we have some of the biggest stars like Mo Salah and Sadio Mane competing for international glory.

On the other, we have young stars trying to make a name for themselves on the big stage. This also presents an excellent opportunity for big clubs to scout some promising talent.

Here are three players that Manchester United should be looking at in the AFCON

Mohamed Amoura

23-year-old Mohamed Amoura

Playing for Algeria, 23-year-old Mohamed Amoura is THE striker to watch out for at AFCON. Currently playing for Union SG, the Algerian forward has proved to be a prolific goal scorer.

Over 25 appearances in the Juliper Pro League, Amoura has recorded 17 goals while also adding three assists. He is fast; his touch on the ball is fantastic and his finishing can give even the best goalkeepers a run for their money.

Manchester United who are in desperate need of some attacking power could easily pair him next to Rasmus Hojlund. He would make for an excellent second option for the team and will go a long way towards taking the pressure off the Danish striker.

Mohammed Kudus

Mohammed Kudus has been amazing for West Ham United in the Premier League. The Ghanaian international has scored 13 goals along with two assists in 27 appearances for West Ham United this season.

He is an excellent playmaker who will give Manchester United the scoring and creative touch that they so desperately need. The Red Devils previously were linked to the player but chose to go with Antony instead.

The team should pursue Kudus during the summer and use him to replace Scott McTominay. While the Scottish international may be a decent midfielder, he cannot hold a candle to 23-year-old Mohammed Kudus.

Serhou Guirassy

Serhou Guirassy has burst onto the scene after his dominant stint at VfB Stuttgart. The Guinea national has scored 19 goals while recording two assists in only 16 appearances.

He will play a key part during Guinea’s run in AFCON just like he could be playing a key part at Manchester United. The Red Devils are in desperate need of an experienced striker and Guirassy could very well be the man for them.

Playing alongside the 27-year-old will also be great for the development of both Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho. His excellent production and deadly finishing can easily make him an asset for any team in the world.

INEOS and Manchester United are preparing for a big shopping spree this summer.

We already know that the team is planning on spending big this summer, much like they usually do and not a lot comes out of it. This summer can be different if the Red Devils end up signing even one of the three players mentioned above.

More Manchester United News-

The AFCON has barely gotten underway and all the big clubs around the world will be keeping their eyes peeled. There will be more stars emerging onto the scene as the tournament runs its course.

While some of these players may not be able to enjoy earning glory for their country they can surely make a name for themselves and get noticed by prominent clubs throughout the world.
