Darren Bent highlights a concerning stat from Manchester United’s game against Tottenham

Darren Bent ripped into Manchester United for their performance against Tottenham Hotspur. Both teams faced off in a highly anticipated Premier League matchup this Sunday.

It was Rasmus Hojlund who got the game started with an early goal, a brilliant header from Richarlison later equalised this. With the game all tied up again, it was Marcus Rashford who broke the deadlock for the Red Devils.

Another equaliser followed at the hands of Rodrigo Bentancur and that was all she wrote. The game ended in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur stealing a point from the Old Trafford squad.

Let’s take a look at what Darren Bent had to say about the game. (h/t talkSPORT via Youtube)

“Let’s have a look at the facts, you had 36% possession at home”

“They had nine shots on target, you had two shots on target”

Darren Bent wasn’t happy that the Red Devils didn’t see a bigger portion of the ball despite being at home. He then went on to point out that Timo Werner in 30 minutes of play has more assists than Anthony Martial this season.

Which isn’t true, but it sure is hilarious. The Frenchman has played 13 Premier League games this season while recording just one goal and one assist for Manchester United.

Darren Bent held the view that Tottenham Hotspur were unfortunate not to win the game. However, while the Spurs did look like the stronger side it was actually Manchester United who almost grabbed the win with a late Scott McTominay header that went just wide of the post.
