Erik ten Hag comments on Sir Jim Ratcliffe watching Manchester United vs Tottenham

Erik ten Hag comments on Sir Jim Ratcliffe being present for Manchester United vs Tottenham

Sir Jim Ratcliffe was in the audience as Erik Ten Hag and his Manchester United team fought Tottenham Hotspur. The game was full of positives for both teams but neither could come away with the win.

Rasmus Hojlund scored a banger during the first five minutes to put his team up. However, this was followed by a brilliant header from Richarlison who put the game back on even grounds.

Marcus Rashford broke free to give his team the lead again, but Rodrigo Bentancur matched his energy and grabbed the second equaliser for Tottenham.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s first time watching his Manchester United squad was not a boring spectacle. Erik ten Hag even had some words about him being in attendance. Let’s have a look at what the Dutchman had to say. (h/t BBC)

“He will have seen a team fighting for each other and trying to get a win. He will have seen two great goals.”

Well, it seems like Ten Hag is convinced that his Manchester United only had positive things to show to Sir Jim Ratcliffe. However, being up at two different points during the game should’ve been enough for the Red Devils to win.

Even the Dutchman seemed to agree as he said his team conceded ‘soft goals’ despite being up. He was disappointed with the Old Trafford squad and they will surely get an earful about it in training.

Both Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Erik ten Hag will be happy that at least Manchester United did not drop the ball and get obliterated by an in-form Tottenham team. They’ll be happy to come away with one point.
