Manchester United will likely not pursue 34-year-old World Cup winner currently playing in the Bundesliga
As reported by the Daily Mail, Manchester United will soon stop their pursuit of 34-year-old Thomas Muller as he intends to stay in the Bundesliga. The World Cup winner has recently signed an extension with lifetime club Bayern Munich.
Muller was being pursued by Ten Hag as he was desperate to add some experience to his relatively young team. But, all doors leading to Old Trafford have been shut by the German legend.
The 34-year-old has spent his entire career playing for Bayern Munich and that is unlikely to change. Another reason behind Muller staying put in Bavaria is due to an Amazon documentary that is covering his career.
Another Bayern Munich veteran that the Red Devils have been looking to sign is 34-year-old Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, as reported by German publication BILD.
It is understood that the Cameroonian striker will be happy with a move to Manchester United. He has not been happy with his lack of playing time since Harry Kane’s arrival from Tottenham.
Well even if Muller isn’t available it looks like the Old Trafford squad will be adding at least one Bayern Munich man to their outfit. Choupo-Moting will likely have a positive influence on the development of Rasmus Hojlund.
