Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich are looking to bring in Manchester United superstar Raphael Varane. The Frenchman was earlier subject to talk of an exit in January.
Varane’s contract is set to run out this summer. Now looks to be the perfect time for Manchester United to capitalise on the opportunity and bring some money to Old Trafford.
Major changes are needed during the upcoming transfer window. These changes will only be possible if Manchester United have some money in hand. Now might be the time to start offloading some people.
However, right now might not be the best time for the team to sell Raphael Varane. His performance against Liverpool at Anfield was pivotal for the end result. It could’ve ended badly for Manchester United if Varane wasn’t playing.
The team has just started to get back on track. Their win against Aston Villa will give them some much-needed confidence for the games ahead. Selling the Frenchman can deal a blow that Ten Hag isn’t prepared to deal with right now.
If they need the money for January, the priority right now should be to sell Jadon Sancho. He has been outcasted from the team following a public fallout with Erik Ten Hag. The 23-year-old hasn’t featured for the team since September.
