Manchester United have been told to make major changes after Old Trafford got a 1-star hygiene rating
Manchester United’s stadium Old Trafford has just received a 1-star hygiene rating. The team was already looking bad on the pitch, now their position has even gotten worse.
The management which had been getting a 5-star food hygiene rating for the past eight years has suddenly seen it go down to 1-star. It is safe to say that the stadium will soon be seeing some major changes.
The Red Devils themselves have spoken on the issue. They have reassured the fans that they will be doing everything they can to get back to five stars.

This could also give us some insight into the team’s injury struggles. Anthony Martial missed the team’s trip to Anfield after he was ruled unfit due to an illness. It could be that this illness stemmed from the Old Trafford stands. Raphael Varane is set to miss out on the game today.
Here is what the team had to say about the whole situation. (h/t BBC)
“a small amount of undercooked meat was inadvertently served during a non matchday event”.
“This was an isolated issue and the immediate failures were quickly addressed,”
“MUFC has taken this incident very seriously and wants to reassure our valued fans and customers that we maintain the highest culinary standards,”
Manchester United can make all the promises they want. But, their 1-star rating will surely leave a bad taste in the mouths of their fans. People who are regulars at Old Trafford will no longer trust the food served there.
This can take a turn for the worse. Their poor hygiene rating will undoubtedly affect revenue from food sales at Old Trafford.

It is embarrassing for a club like Manchester United to serve raw chicken at Old Trafford. Now, the team must focus on winning back the trust of their fans.
Hopefully, the management will take all the necessary steps to eradicate the issue. A team like Manchester United cannot afford any goof-ups when it comes to matters like this.
