Ornstein sheds light on Manchester United’s most ‘pressing issue’ which urgently needs to be resolved in January.
While talking to The Athletic (paid subscription), David Ornstein shed light on Manchester United’s most ‘pressing issue’. This so-called pressing issue is none other than Jadon Sancho.
The 23-year-old has been out of favour since he had a public falling out with Man United chief Erik ten Hag. He has not been a part of the team since September. Considering the price that the Red Devils paid for him this is certainly a ‘pressing issue’.
He was brought over to the club from Borussia Dortmund back in 2021. The Red Devils reportedly bought him for a whopping £73m. What a waste it has been for Manchester United since the English forward has barely paid for the team.
Jadon Sancho is a top-tier talent. He has shown glimpses of greatness in the past, Ten Hag has also said that he will welcome the player back into the team if he apologises.
But, the English forward is unapologetic at the moment. There has even been talk suggesting that Manchester United could terminate his contract.
However, this is more likely to be an extreme scenario that will only play out if they can’t offload him in January.
Multiple teams including the likes of FC Barcelona and his former club Borussia Dortmund have expressed interest in the player. The Red Devils will be relentlessly trying to ship him off as soon as 2024 begins.

Jadon Sancho could have become a household name at Manchester United. However, if he refuses to apologise we could soon be seeing this amazing talent walk away for nothing.
But, the money from a Jadon Sancho deal can be put back into acquiring new talent. If all goes well, fans will soon have a new name to chant from the Old Trafford stands.
