RB Leipzig have taken a step back in their pursuit of Manchester United ‘flop’ due to a single reason.
Manchester United have put out all the stops in an attempt to offload Jadon Sancho. The 23-year-old was axed from the first team in September due to a public fallout with team chief Erik Ten Hag.
However, as revealed by The Sun, the Premier League giants are struggling to find suitors for the player. The main reason behind this is Sancho’s wage. Not every club has the pockets to take on his £350,000 a week contract.
The player’s former club Borussia Dortmund have also stopped inquiries for the player after previously showing interest. Another such club is RB Leipzig who are now unwilling to take on the Manchester United ‘flop’ due to his ridiculous salary.
Before the trouble began, Jadon Sancho displayed the makings of a world-class talent. But, everything since has sidelined his talent and has brought his ‘attitude issues’ to the limelight.
Now that his unfortunate stint at Old Trafford is about to end, Sancho will have to work twice as hard to prove himself all over again.
More than the team, Sancho’s off-field antics have hurt his own reputation. Although at the moment it seems difficult, the English national will most likely be offloaded in January.
The onus will be on our negotiators to ensure we get a good deal. Given his age and potential, Sancho has enough in him to go on to enjoy a solid career. However, it appears unlikely to be at United.
