Flopped Chelsea coach tops list of replacements as talk of Ten Hag being axed starts making the rounds
Now, with talk of Ten Hag being sacked going around, former Chelsea coach Graham Potter is believed to be on top of Manchester United’s list of replacements for the Dutchman, as stated by Sky Sports.
However, this may come as a shock to people who remember the abysmal state that Chelsea was in while Potter was at the helm. During his time at Stamford Bridge, the English coach failed to live up to expectations.
He oversaw 31 games for the team while losing 11 and drawing 8 (transfermarkt). Potter was then given the boot as the Blues dropped down to 11th on the Premier League table.
His past achievements were all overshadowed by his failures at Chelsea. Now, Potter has a shot at redemption. He has been named as a top candidate to replace Ten Hag if the Dutchman gets sacked.
While there is some talk of Ten Hag being axed, that will likely not be the case. Even after the disastrous campaign that this season has been, the fans are still backing the Dutchman.
The situation might change if Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s deal to take a 25% stake in Manchester United goes through. But for now, Ten Hag can rest easy as he sets his sights on making a comeback starting with the Premier League.

The upcoming transfer window is amping up to be an exciting one. Manchester United might open the door for Jadon Sancho and Casemiro amongst others.
