Manchester United plan to sell Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Casemiro if lucrative offers are on the table
According to the Independent, Manchester United are looking for lucrative offers for three highly experienced players- Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Casemiro.
Manchester United are open to considering offers for several high-profile players, as Erik ten Hag aims to refine his squad and ensure their complete dedication to his approach. There are a few players, including Casemiro, Raphael Varane, and Jadon Sancho, who are currently up for transfer. However, the club is willing to consider offers for other members of the squad as well.
Nevertheless, many people think and so do we that there is still a lot of skill in each of these players. Now is not really the best time to allow two former Real Madrid players to go away from us considering that we are already back on track after a very impressive match against Chelsea.
In the summer of 2022, United made a significant acquisition by securing the services of Casemiro from Real Madrid for a hefty fee of £70m. This signing was seen as a statement of intent by manager Ten Hag. The Brazilian had an impressive start to his career, playing a pivotal role in the club’s triumph in the Carabao Cup, which ended their six-year trophy drought.
It is becoming increasingly difficult for United to justify keeping Casemiro on their payroll, given his recent poor form and hefty weekly salary. Nevertheless, the captain of Brazil has ample opportunity to demonstrate his value in the senior team once he resumes playing.
While United haven’t completely dismissed the possibility of a temporary agreement, they would prefer a substantial wage contribution and, if possible, a loan fee. Sancho, who made the move from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73 million, is tied down with a contract that stretches until 2026, with the added bonus of a one-year option. After not finding any solutions to the Sancho and Ten Hag conflict, it does make sense to at least loan the player where he can get more game and reduce our wage bill.
On the other hand, Varane is another player United plan to sell. It would be a great loss if we somehow lost his services. The French international completed a £34 million move from Real Madrid to United in 2021. Last season, he developed a strong bond with Lisandro Martinez and appeared to finally put our search for a solid centre-back pairing which helped us on several occasions.
