Sacha Boey wants Premier League move amid Manchester United and Arsenal links

Sacha Boey, the French right-back currently shining at Galatasaray, has sparked interest from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Arsenal. His performances in Turkey have not gone unnoticed, and he’s now on the radar of Europe’s top teams.

With a contract at Galatasaray until 2025, Boey has been offered a new deal featuring an annual salary of 1.5 million euros plus an additional 1 million euros signing bonus per season. Despite this, his mind seems set on the Premier League, and he’s resisted signing a new contract.

Manchester United, Arsenal, and Brighton are reported to be seriously interested in him, watching his games closely. The expectation is that Sacha Boey could command a transfer fee of at least 20 million euros, a figure within the reach of these Premier League clubs.

His future, particularly regarding a potential move in January or at the end of the season, appears to hinge on Champions League developments. From a Manchester United perspective, the interest in Sacha Boey (h/t Turkish outlet Aksam) signifies the club’s ongoing quest to bolster its defensive options.

Boey’s impressive rise at Galatasaray, marked by his attacking prowess and defensive solidity, aligns well with United’s requirements for a right-back who can contribute both offensively and defensively. His potential arrival could add depth and competition to the squad, offering a fresh option in a position where United has sought improvement.

Moreover, his valuation of at least 20 million euros seems a reasonable investment for a player of his calibre and potential, fitting within the financial parameters of the club’s recent transfer strategies. A lot of things seem to be going in favour of this transfer.

Currently, United have Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in this position. The former is frustratingly inconsistent while the latter is better in defence than he is going forward. The club could do with an upgrade.

That would mean that the club will have to let one of the aforementioned duo leave. It looks more likely for Dalot to leave than Wan-Bissaka. The Portuguese right-back has failed to convince despite numerous opportunities.
