Manchester United are facing fresh injury crisis with Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana during the November international break

Manchester United are facing more trouble this season as Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana handed them two fresh injury concerns. The Red Devils have plenty of senior team players sidelined with long-term injuries that have hampered their form this season.

Rashford collided with England teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold during England’s 2-0 victory over Malta in the UEFA EURO qualifiers. England manager Gareth Southgate substituted the 26-year-old for Cole Palmer in the 61st minute after he received on-field treatment.

Meanwhile, Cameroon substituted Onana in the 81st minute in the 3-0 win against Mauritius in the World Cup Qualifiers. The 27-year-old showed signs of discomfort before limping off after consultation from the Cameroon’s physios.

The 26-year-old ended last season as the leading goal-scorer for the Red Devils with 30 goals in all competitions. The Englishman became the first United player to reach the 30-goal mark since Robin van Persie during the 2012-13 season. The sublime performances earned him a new lucrative contract during the summer.

However, Rashford has struggled to maintain a similar form this season, contributing just one goal and three assists. Numerous experts criticized the 26-year-old for reverting to the inconsistencies displayed since his promotion to the senior team.

Simultaneously, the Red Devils signed Onana from Inter Milan during the summer window to replace legendary goalkeeper David De Gea. The 27-year-old has featured in every game for United so far this season despite struggling with errors and performances.

The Cameroon international made some costly mistakes this season while United have conceded 30 goals in all competitions so far. The defensive vulnerabilities played an important factor in their nine losses from 18 matches this season.

Mirror reported that both Onana and Rashford are fresh injury concerns as United heads towards the congested December fixtures. However, the report lacks the estimated time of recovery for both the players as they await assessment.
