Erik ten Hag doesn’t want Scott McTominay to leave Manchester United in the upcoming transfer window
According to The Sun, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is reluctant to let our in-form midfielder Scott Mctominay leave in the upcoming transfer window.
“Ten Hag needs Scott in his team. There’s no chance he’d let him go now. Scott is a key part of the side now as is Harry Maguire. In fact, they are two of the first names on the team sheet. Things change fast in football.”
McTominay’s perseverance, commitment, drive, and composure under duress are crucial for Ten Hag’s squad. The 26-year-old has never voiced any complaints, not even when rumours about his future circulated and he was benched during the team’s trying moments.
He has demonstrated over a while that he can lead an attack for both his club and the nation as well. It’s good that United found themselves going up the ladder to the sixth position in the table with the victory against Luton Town.
The Scotland international has made 12 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, scoring three goals in those games. Ahead of the October international break, the 26-year-old scored two goals in extra time during a valiant cameo against Brentford.
Erik ten Hag sought to sell McTominay for a fair price in order to generate money for more hiring. But, given the Scotsman’s continuous good form, the United manager may be reconsidering his position.
Now, it remains to be seen how United perform in the upcoming games knowing the positive momentum we have just gained. To top it, United’s defensive abilities seems to be better as both Harry Maguire and Andre Onana, the two most scrutinized players in the squad are delivering in every game of late.

We hope that McTominay keeps playing with intensity so that United’s midfield creativity may be improved. But we can’t always count on him to perform in the last seconds of games. We believe the only way we can prevent him from leaving is by winning more games and giving him more game-time just like he is getting now.
