Brighton & Hove Albion’s talisman Evan Ferguson signs a new six-year contract
According to The Sun, Manchester United target Evan Ferguson just signed a new six-year deal which will help him stay for the Seagulls till 2029. Now, it seems very difficult to sign the young talent.
One of the best football talents in England, Evan Ferguson has drawn interest from several elite clubs, including Manchester United, thanks to his performances for Brighton & Hove Albion. Now that he signed a new contract might prevent United from luring him to our side.
Ferguson is reportedly not in a haste to leave Brighton, and while Manchester United and Chelsea are admirers as well, Manchester City are not actively pursuing a transfer at this time. Ferguson made his Irish debut in a friendly match against Chelsea at the age of 14, and he later joined Brighton from Bohemians in 2021.
At the age of 19, he leads Brighton in league scoring this season and has already netted three goals in eight senior caps for Ireland. Ferguson, who grew up cheering for Manchester United, inked a new long-term contract at the conclusion of his breakout season earlier this year.
We currently have Rasmus Hojlund, who appears to have promise. The future is unpredictable, but for now, let’s wait and see how this one plays out.
Having previously fumbled their lines numerous times, United are among those hoping to sign the youthful prodigy. Ferguson’s first opportunity came prior to his breakthrough at Brighton, when the Red Devils were unable to sign him after a trial on youth terms.
