Victor Osimhen confirms that he has a Manchester United jersey in his wardrobe amid transfer talks
According to the Mirror, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen admits that he has two Premier League clubs’ jerseys and one of them being of Manchester United.
The Nigerian has performed admirably for Napoli throughout his time there, leading his team to its first Serie A championship in over thirty years last season. He has persisted in finding the back of the net, and his goal-scoring prowess has drawn notice from all throughout Europe.
Osimhen said: (via The Obi One Podcast)
“I don’t have a favourite Premier League team but I’ve two jerseys: Chelsea and Man United. Many friends of mine are Chelsea fans, few are Man United fans”
Osimhen is reportedly attracting interest from United as well, as they are looking for a seasoned forward to support Rasmus Hojlund. At six feet one inch tall, Osimhen is a strong attacker who is renowned for his strength and agility. The Nigerian international has a strong track record of scoring goals and has excellent link-up and off-the-ball mobility.
Ten Hag’s request will be fulfilled by the club board, and Osimhen will join the Red Devils as a prized acquisition. Attackers who can consistently score goals are what United needs, and Osimhen is a ready-made answer to that issue.
Osimhen scored six goals in his ten games this season, breaking the 30-goal mark for the first time last term. Earlier in the season, the player and his team got into a fight over a TikTok video that seemed to make fun of the striker as he took a penalty.
The problem was solved after this and Osimhen made it clear that he supported the Italian team. However, Napoli have proved to be willing to sell, especially when it comes to their star player who may fetch a huge pay.
