Manchester United also interested to sign Sacha Boey despite links from other clubs
According to the Turkish media Fotospor (h/t Manchester Evening News) Burnley, Brighton, and Arsenal are among the Premier League teams rumoured to have sent scouts to watch Sacha Boey this season, with United reportedly now leading the battle to sign him.
The France U20 international has been linked with a transfer to the Premier League. In light of this, the Red Devils and the Gunners are vying for his services. His primary position is right back, and he joined the Turkish powerhouses in 2021.
On the other hand, famous Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that Arsenal are chasing for the young talent. He said on his exclusive column the Daily Briefing:
“Another player being linked with Arsenal is Sacha Boey, but I wouldn’t get too excited just yet. We see this link since he joined Stellar agency in the summer, but he’s never been close to a move. There are no negotiations as of now as Galatasaray consider Boey a key player – his price was already around €30m in the summer”
Arsenal’s current campaign is going really well. The Gunners are in the third position in the league being undefeated so far. This season as well Ben White has been their starting right-back. Arteta is also equipped with Takehiro Tomiyasu. Nonetheless, their defensive prowess is what makes them both more well-known than their offensive prowess.
Boey progressed via Stade Rennais’s youth systems. The 22-year-old played a few games for the Ligue 1 team before going on loan to Dijon for the 2020–21 season. But Galatasaray made a move to sign the full-back in the summer of 2021.
The French national’s stock has increased as a result of his outstanding performances since then. During his two-year tenure with the team, Boey has made 69 appearances.
Jurrien Timber suffered an ACL injury in the team’s season opener against Nottingham Forest. United, however, are eager to replace Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka or at least provide competition to them.

Given Boey’s talent, it remains to be seen where things go from here. But if he chooses Manchester United over any other club in Europe, that would be fantastic. He would, most significantly, give our squad additional depth, which is something we now lack.
