Sergio Reguilon might feature against Brentford as Manchester United have an injury-crisis
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United might take the risk of rushing Sergio Reguilon back into action against Brentford despite his injury troubles after facing two defeats in a row.
United’s unbeaten home record no longer exists and we look vulnerable irrespective of where we play nowadays. Despite not taking part in the team practice on Monday at United’s Carrington training facility, Reguilon has been working on his hamstring and is very close to returning.
Sofyan Amrabat has filled in at left-back for United in each of the last three matches since Reguilon got injured. Prior to that though, the Spaniard made such a promising start.
Since the day he started playing for us, Amrabat has been playing in an unnatural position. He was brought in to serve as a defensive midfielder, but as the fullbacks started getting injured, he had to fill in and help the team.
With the international break approaching, Man United might feel if they can get through the Brentford game, the Spaniard will get a couple of weeks to rest. This can be ideal only if Reguilon can stay fit after tomorrow’s game.
Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Aaron Wan Bissaka are out for a prolonged period. To fill the void, Reguilon was bought in. Instead, the Spanish defender got injured after his impressive start at the club.
The squad needs Erik ten Hag to help them return to their winning ways. Due to Casemiro’s red card against Galatasaray, winning the crucial match against Copenhagen would now be considerably more difficult.
