Manchester United face competition from Real Madrid for Serge Gnabry
According to Nacional (h/t Manchester Evening News) Manchester United are keeping an eye on Serge Gnabry to land him at Old Trafford
The Red Devils have had a difficult start to the season, with off-the-field problems made worse by a run of three losses in their previous four Premier League games.
If Gnabry performs well, the Old Trafford transfer staff will find it difficult to pry him away in January or later. Gnabry said after signing his contract extension at Bayern Munich that (The Mirror) :
“I thought a lot about what I want as a player in the coming years, and came to the conclusion that I want to stay at FC Bayern, win everything again here and experience things – in particular celebrating another Champions League title, but this time with our fans”.
This demonstrates how devoted Gnabry is to his team. It also shows how challenging it will be for us to convince him to join United. It may be challenging to work with the German if United don’t have a desire to win games. It’s an indication that he loves the club he plays for and this can be the same situation if he ever joins our ally.
United are apparently ready to spend a lot of money just to land the German at Old Trafford in the next transfer window.
Manchester United should put up a fight to land him at Old Trafford
United put up a gallant fight in a 4-3 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League midweek. The leadership of United also appears to be a fan of the forward who can play a pivotal part in helping the team score more goals.
Serge Gnabry’s contract will end next summer with only two years remaining, therefore the Reds may try to capitalize on this situation in the hopes that Bayern will try to offload their player. The 28-year-old scored 17 goals and had 12 assists in 47 appearances the previous season.
Old Trafford officials have granted regular starter Antony a leave of absence, and Jadon Sancho has been banned from first-team practices after publicly criticizing manager Erik ten Hag and apparently refusing to apologize.

There’s a sense of urgency still persisting in the club to a player and nothing can be better than signing Gnabry on a long-term basis. Real Madrid would certainly try for a striker because they lost Karim Benzema, so we have to watch out for them too. Their pull in the transfer market is well known.
