Victor Lindelof reveals the mood of Manchester United’s dressing room following Jadon Sancho’s statement
Victor Lindelof reveals that the mood of Manchester United’s dressing room has been ‘calm’ after the public back-and-forth between Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho.
The Sweden captain is currently with his national team as his team won a Euro 2024 qualifier game against Estonia by a 5-0 margin.
As per foreign outlet Sport Bladet (h/t Manchester Evening News), Lindelof said before the game:
Due to illness, the manager substituted the 29-year-old defender Lindelof in United’s 3-1 loss away at Arsenal, and the team conceded 2 late goals in the game after the substitution.
The Ten Hag-Sancho spat took place when Ten Hag stated Sancho was dropped due to his apparent poor performance in training.
The English forward retaliated to his manager’s comment by posting a message on the social media platform, X. The 23-year-old claimed he was used as “a scapegoat for a long time”.
The Dutch manager has included Sancho in the Champions League squad, although his future at United remains unclear. He has, so far, failed to start a single game for us this season.
