Sir Alex Ferguson is urged to share his thoughts on the Manchester United takeover saga

English sports presenter Richard Keys has insisted that Sir Alex Ferguson should share his opinion on the Manchester United takeover saga.

United owners, The Glazers decided to put the club up for sale last November. Current rumors are suggesting that they may decide against selling the club after no concrete bid was received for the club.

Keys used his blog to issue the plea, saying:

“What he thinks is best for the club going forward. He’s got to go public on the takeover now. Here’s my question Sir Alex – should the Glazers sell or retain ownership of the club? It’s not difficult.”

It is believed that the Glazers have put a £ 10 billion valuation for their controlling stake at United. The report has caused a dip in the share price of the club from $22.90 during the deadline day to $19.36.

Since Ferguson retired in 2013, the Red Devils have struggled to maintain their dominance on the pitch. Their last Premier League title was under the Scottish legend.

United fans have maintained their disapproval of the current hierarchy at the club. They have been very vocal about their dislike towards the Glazers.

Key believes that Ferguson can help the club by speaking out. Fans will respect his opinion as for them, he is the greatest manager of all time. Speaking about the fan’s relationship with Ferguson and the reason why he wants this saga should end soon, Key said:

“They know he was happy enough working for the Glazers when he was manager, but what about now that he’s just a fan? So many other clubs have left United in the blocks when it comes to growth. Even Brighton are running rings round them in the transfer market.”

United fans want to see the club sold to better owners more than any football pundit or expert. They have seen their club struggle since Ferguson retired.
