Ansu Fati wants to stay at Barcelona despite Manchester United and Premier League interest
Barcelona star Ansu Fati has no intention of moving this summer amidst interest from Manchester United and other Premier League teams, according to journalist Helena Condis on Twitter via Spanish Fichajes.com.
In the ongoing transfer window, the 20-year-old has been linked with an exit from the Blaugrana. To that end, the Red Devils have been tipped as one of the potential suitors for the forward.
Apart from the Old Trafford side, Arsenal are the other team in the English top-flight being linked with Fati. Paris Saint-Germain also have the Spain international on their radar.
However, the youngster wants to stay at the La Liga outfit and succeed. It is understandable, considering he is a La Masia graduate. On the other hand, the Catalan side will also keep him unless a substantial offer is received for the forward.
Fati made his way through the youth ranks at Barcelona before breaking onto the scene in the 2019/20 term. Initially, the youngster showcased immense talent and prolificity.
However, injuries have hampered the Spaniard’s development over the last few years. In the previous campaign, the youngster was finally available for most of the season, but Xavi did not seem to trust him.
The Blaugrana have the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Ferran Torres up front. In their last match against Cadiz, 16-year-old Lamine Yamal started while Fati was on the bench.
A United, the attack has let us down in the first two matches of the 2023/24 term. Against Tottenham Hotspur, we created a few chances but were unable to find the back of the net as Spurs beat us 2-0 in North London.

Fati is yet to regain his best form at Barcelona and it remains to be seen whether the Spaniard will ever be able to fulfil his potential. Therefore, for now, it would be wise of the Old Trafford side to steer clear of the forward’s signature.
