Three more departures eyed by Manchester United in the summer transfer window
Manchester United are planning on selling at least three more players in the coming weeks in the ongoing transfer window, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Eric Bailly is one of the stars who no longer seems to have a future at the club. The Red Devils revoked the 29-year-old’s squad number recently. At the moment, the Ivory Coast international is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.
Another player not wanted by the Old Trafford side is Brandon Williams. The 22-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag. As a result, the English national has been told to find greener pastures for regular game time.
Donny van de Beek is another name who has been linked with a move away from United this summer. The Red Devils have been in talks with Real Sociedad over the 26-year-old Holland national’s permanent departure this summer.
In recent weeks, the Old Trafford side first parted ways with the likes of Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe and David de Gea. Subsequently, we have sold Zidane Iqbal, Alex Telles, Matej Kovar, Anthony Elanga and Fred.
United have added Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta to their ranks. Mason Mount and Andre Onana have also made their way to the Manchester-based club in the ongoing transfer window.
The Old Trafford side’s squad is not balanced as things stand. We have a number of decent players in our defence. However, the Red Devils seemingly need a few more additions in the middle of the park and in the number nine position.

Therefore, departures will arguably help us raise funds to strengthen the squad some more, with the deadline approaching soon. However, it remains to be seen how many players we will be able to offload in the coming weeks.
