PSG set sights on Eintracht Frankfurt striker and Manchester United target Randal Kolo Muani
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have set their sights on Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Sky Sports’ chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol via Football Daily on Twitter (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The France international has been on the Red Devils’ shortlist to bolster their attack in the ongoing transfer window. However, now, the Old Trafford side are set to acquire the services of Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta to reinforce the number nine position.
Thus, it would be a surprise to see United going after the Bundesliga outfit’s striker as well. But the 24-year-old could be on the move to a different club, with the Parisians in pursuit of his signature.
Kolo Muani made his way through the youth ranks at Nantes before signing for Eintracht in the summer of 2022 as a free agent. At the German side, the French national has turned out to be a bargain.
The forward enjoyed a prolific debut campaign at the Bundesliga outfit. In the 2022/23 term, he made 46 appearances in all competitions for Die Adler, scoring 23 goals and providing 17 assists.
Kolo Muani has showcased his talent on the international stage as well. The forward was part of France’s squad for the 2022 World Cup, playing a backup role. He did provide an assist in the thrilling final against Argentina that was eventually decided on penalties.
At United, the potential arrival of Hojlund will add much-needed depth to our striking department. As things stand, Anthony Martial is the only natural option in the number nine position at our disposal.
In the previous campaign, we had to rely heavily on Wout Weghorst in the second half of the season. Marcus Rashford was also often played out of position by Erik ten Hag in his first year in charge of the Red Devils.

While Kolo Muani is a promising talent, it remains to be seen whether the Old Trafford side will have the finances to compete with PSG. The Parc des Princes side have lost Lionel Messi and the future of Kylian Mbappe is uncertain. Therefore, they evidently need to add more quality up front.
