Manchester United have rejected a bid from Galatasaray for Fred
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have turned down a bid for Fred from Turkish outfit Galatasaray as being too below their valuation of the player.
Fred is one of the many names expected to leave Old Trafford and unlike others, the player is generating interest from a lot of clubs.
Marco Silva’s Fulham is interested in bringing the player to Craven Cottage while there has been interest from Saudi Arabia as well.
Now, Galatasaray came forward with a bid but it has been rejected by United for being lesser than their expected valuation of the 30-year-old midfielder
Fred has entered the last year of his contract at United, although the club has an option of extending it by another year. However, it feels like the best decision for all parties involved would be to part ways.
The Brazilian made 56 appearances for the club last season but most of them were off the bench and with the signing of Mason Mount, his game-time is expected to be reduced even further.
At the end of the day, the player would be keen to move to a club away where he can play more regularly and outside the Premier League top teams, there are many clubs around Europe where Fred could be seen as a regular starter.
Hence, the club is not wrong in asking for a fair price for the Brazilian who has a plethora of experience behind him and many teams could do with his work rate and intensity off the ball.
At the same time, United needs to raise funds and Fred provides one of the best options as he is attracting genuine interest from other clubs.
