Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga is attracting interest from Nottingham Forest
According to The Times (h/t Manchester Evening News), Nottingham Forest are interested in securing the services of Manchester United’s highly-rated young talent Anthony Elanga.
Elanga was brought into the first team by Ralf Rangnick and played a handful of games towards the end of the 2021/22 season.
However, the appointment of Erik Ten Hag led to reduced minutes for the Swede International with Alejandro Garnacho being preferred over the player.
With no assurance of guaranteed game time, Elanga might look for a move elsewhere and the club are willing to sanction a sale for the right price.
Everton have previously registered interest in the player and now it seems another Premier League team in Nottingham are ready to sign the winger.
At the same time, United needs to raise funds through player sales to generate additional funds for future incoming and Elanga is one of the assets at the firm that can command a good fee.
He is a regular for Sweden while he already has the experience of playing at a high level with goals scored in UEFA Champions League fixtures.
Elanga has the potential to be a starter in many teams in the Premier League with Garnacho’s emergence added to Rashford’s brilliant season, it would be tough for him to get minutes at United barring the occasional cup games.
