AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez a top target for Manchester United
Manchester United have identified AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez as a top target in the ongoing transfer window, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.net.
The Red Devils are looking to bolster the left-back position. To that end, the Old Trafford side have set their sights on getting a hold of the France international’s signature this summer.
As things stand, United are obsessed about signing the 25-year-old. The Manchester-based club are willing to pay €60 million to convince the Rossoneri to part ways with him.
Hernandez recently signed a new contract at Milan until June 2027. Therefore, it is understandable that the Old Trafford side are willing to pay a hefty price for him. However, we are not the only one eyeing the defender, with Paris Saint-Germain also in the race.
In the summer of 2019, the Serie A giants got the French national from Real Madrid. Since then, the left-back has grown from strength to strength and developed into a world-class talent at the San Siro side.
Apart from being defensively sound, the 25-year-old has also showcased his attacking abilities at Milan. He found the back of the net four times and provided five assists in 45 appearances in all competitions for the Rossoneri last season.
At United, Luke Shaw was called upon regularly by Erik ten Hag in the 2022/23 term. Initially, the English national seemed to have lost his place in the team. But the 28-year-old convinced of his place in the starting lineup with some impressive displays.
Tyrell Malacia made his way to Manchester from Feyenoord last summer. The Holland national played backup to the former Southampton star at the Old Trafford side in the previous campaign.

For now, the Red Devils seem to have enough quality at left-back. Therefore, it evidently would not make sense for us to break the back and sign Hernandez this summer.
