Al-Nassr eye Cristiano Ronaldo reunion with Manchester United full-back Alex Telles
Manchester United star Alex Telles is being eyed by Al-Nassr this summer, who want to reunite him with Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Daily Mail.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner left the Red Devils mid-way through last season and signed for the Saudi Pro League outfit in January. Subsequently, the Middle Eastern country has been able to engine a number of European superstars like Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante this summer.
Now, Al-Nassr are targeting the Old Trafford side’s Brazilian left-back. The 30-year-old seems surplus to requirements at the Manchester-based club.
However, it remains to be seen whether the Riyadh-based club will pursue any new incomings for now. They have been banned by FIFA from registering new players for the time being. But it is expected to be resolved soon.
United signed Telles in the summer of 2020 from FC Porto. He played alongside Ronaldo in the 2021/22 term. Unfortunately, the Red Devils did not have much to show for in that campaign.
Subsequently, the Brazil international spent last season on loan at Sevilla. The 30-year-old was a key player for the La Liga outfit as they lifted the Europa League title.
Now, the former Porto star is back at the Old Trafford side. However, Erik ten Hag has Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia at his disposal. The Dutch manager counted on the England international at left-back for most of the previous campaign. The 28-year-old put in impressive performances consistently under the Dutch manager.

The gaffer was also able to count on Malacia when needed in his first year at United. Thus, we evidently have enough options on the left-hand side of the defence. Will Al-Nassr get a hold of Telles in the coming weeks? Only time will tell.
