Napoli defender Kim Min-jae ‘tempted’ by Bayern Munich amidst Manchester United interest
Kim Min-jae, who currently plays for Napoli, is ‘tempted’ by Bayern Munich amidst interest from Manchester United, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
The Bundesliga giants have presented their proposal to the South Korea international. As things stand, they are closing in on an agreement on personal terms with the centre-back.
Talks between the Bavarians and the 26-year-old are advancing at a swift pace. Sides eyeing a move for him will be able to trigger the release clause defender’s contract in July.

At the moment, the Red Devils also have Min-jae on their radar. However, the Old Trafford side have yet to reach a consensus with the South Korean, leaving the door open for other parties.
The centre-back signed for the Naples-based club just last summer. However, his performances in the 2022/23 campaign have caught a lot of people’s attention.
Last season, the 26-year-old was key to Luciano Spalletti’s plans as the Partenopei lifted the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years. The defender formed a formidable partnership with Amir Rrahmani at the back.
Bayern have an abundance of talent at their disposal in defence. The likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Dayot Upamecano, Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard are at the Allianz Arena side’s disposal.
As for United, Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez played the bulk of matches together last season. Erik ten Hag heavily relied on the two World Cup winners. However, the gaffer also has Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof in his ranks for now.

With the Argentine and French duo thriving at the Red Devils, Min-jae would evidently have to compete for minutes in our backline. We also have enough quality in depth as things stand in the centre-back area. But it remains to be seen whether the Bavarians will pip us to the signing of the 26-year-old.
