Benjamin Pavard valued at £26–£34 million by Bayern Munich amidst Manchester United interest
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich want £26–£34 million for Benjamin Pavard this summer amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg on Twitter (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Red Devils could consider a move for the France international in the upcoming transfer window. As for the Bavarians, they are open to letting him go and could also accept players in a swap deal.
But the Old Trafford side are not the only team looking to acquire the defender’s services. Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool, along with European giants Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter Milan, also have the 27-year-old on their radar.
These are all massive teams capable of offering him just what we can in terms of fame and glory. Barcelona in particular can use a right-back given Sergino Dest’s struggles.
Update #Pavard: As reported and now confirmed: He will be allowed to leave Bayern immediately. Bayern demands a transfer fee of €30-40m.

Bayern signed Pavard in the summer of 2019 from VfB Stuttgart. Since then, the French national has been a key player in the Bundesliga giants’ first-team setup.
The versatile defender has played in a number of positions during his time at the Allianz Arena side. While a right-back by trade, the 27-year-old is also capable of playing centrally in the backline.
In the current campaign, Pavard has once again been ever-present in Bayern’s starting lineup. However, the Bavarians also have other talented options like Noussair Mazraoui and Josip Stanisic in their ranks.
As for United, we have two decent options for the right-hand side of the defence in Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The 23-year-old was essential to Erik ten Hag’s plans at the start of the season.
However, in recent months, the former Crystal Palace star has put in some impressive performances and has pipped the Portugal international in the pecking order.

Therefore, for now, we seemingly have enough depth at right-back. However, considering the quality and versatility of Pavard, it would evidently not be a bad thing to have the French national in our squad. But it remains to be seen what the Red Devils will make of Bayern’s valuation.
