Erik ten Hag confident of Manchester United victory vs Manchester City in FA Cup final
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is confident that the Red Devils will be able to get the better of Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
The Old Trafford side will take on the Sky Blues at Wembley Stadium on 3 June. After the Carabao Cup, the Manchester-based club have the chance to get their hands on another trophy in the current campaign.
Speaking on BBC One show Football Focus via Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag has hailed Pep Guardiola’s team. However, the Dutch manager believes United have the necessary quality to beat the Etihad Stadium side.
“Every game you learn lessons. It’s really enjoyable to watch Manchester City, but we have to stop them and we have to make it our game. We have proved we can beat them, but we have to play to our level. If we have belief, anything is possible.”
City are on course to complete an unprecedented treble this season. The Sky Blues pipped Arsenal to the Premier League title. In the coming weeks, the Cityzens will also face Inter Milan in the Champions League final.
They have arguably been one of the best teams in the world over the last few years. But the Red Devils have the chance to hinder their Manchester rivals’ hopes and dreams.
Earlier in the campaign, the Old Trafford side beat Guardiola’s team 2-1 at home. We made a valiant comeback in the fixture after going a goal down.

Ten Hag has done an admirable job in his debut season at United. We have finished third in the league table, qualifying for the upcoming campaign’s UCL. The Dutch manager has also ended our six-year trophy drought.
Therefore, the Red Devils should seemingly be in high spirits ahead of the final. City are the ones who will evidently feel the pressure, considering they have the chance to create history.
