Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag sees a future for Amad Diallo at Manchester United
Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag, as quoted by Manchester Evening News, has revealed that he sees Amad Diallo‘s future at Manchester United.
Amad has had a wonderful loan spell with Sunderland and so far has scored 13 goals for the Championship outfit. Sunderland has qualified for the playoffs and will face Luton in the semi-finals.
The tricky winger has been one of the main outlets for attack and has really shown at the Championship level, bringing speculations that he could be ready for the shift to United’s first team.
Ten Hag certainly thinks so and believes the loan spell was done for the exact purpose of making the player gather the much-needed experience and sees a future for the player at the club.
“Yes. Of course, we loan such players to make development and make progress to bring them back, that is the aim of the loan.
So we are really strong with them, we mentor them, we follow them, we have communication over the season, especially (technical director) Darren Fletcher invests a lot in such processes, the aim is to bring them back but as a better player with experience.”
Signed from Atalanta in a deal that could rise up to £ 37 million, he was a signing done with the future in mind as before his signing, he had just made the rank from the Academy to the first team in Italy.
It was written that the player would need time to work on himself and settle in the English league. While there were not many opportunities for the player in the first team of United, a loan spell did wonders for the Ivorian.
He would come back to United feeling refreshed and confident in his ability to make a name for himself at Old Trafford and we could see a lot of the player in the coming weeks.
To show that he is part of the team’s plan for the coming years, he has been invited by the club to the FA Cup final between United and Manchester City. That would be some experience for the 20-year-old Ivorian winger.
