Crystal Palace want at least £50 million for Manchester United and Arsenal target Marc Guehi
Premier League rivals Crystal Palace want at least £50 million for Manchester United and Arsenal target Marc Guehi, according to the Daily Mail (h/t Metro).
The Eagles are willing to part ways with the England international. However, the Selhurst Park side are looking for a record fee for the centre-back. At the moment, the Old Trafford side’s £45 million add-ons is the highest amount the South London club have received for a player.
As things stand, the 22-year-old’s current contract at Palace runs until June 2026. He is one of the most promising stars in the English top flight right now and it is understandable why the Eagles want such a high price for the centre-back.
Guehi signed for the Selhurst Park side from Chelsea in the summer of 2021. The Blues have first refusal on the defender, but they are not expected to pursue him. As part of the deal, the Stamford Bridge side will also receive 20 per cent of any future fee for the English national.
The 22-year-old has shone at the South London club during his time there. Over the last few months, the centre-back has also been handed the captain’s armband on several occasions.
Arsenal are flying high this season. The Gunners have been making a run for the league title in the current campaign. But since William Saliba’s injury, Mikel Arteta’s team have slipped up a bit and have given Manchester City the advantage.
As for United, we have an abundance of talent in defence. The Red Devils possess immense depth in the backline. Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane have been Erik ten Hag’s preferred duo.
But the gaffer can also call upon the likes of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof. At times, Luke Shaw has also been deployed centrally to good effect.

However, our skipper and the Swedish national are not the first names on the team sheet anymore. Thus, if they opted to part ways with the Old Trafford side next summer, Guehi has shown the talent to play for a top team like us.
