Borussia Dortmund midfielder and Manchester United target Jude Bellingham ‘has accepted’ Real Madrid contract
Manchester United target and Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham has accepted the contract offer from Real Madrid, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Twitter (h/t The Sun).
The midfielder has come to a consensus with Los Blancos regarding his deal. Now, the Santiago Bernabeu side want to hold a meeting with the Bundesliga giants and come to an agreement on the transfer fee.
Madrid are set to offer the 19-year-old a package worth £12 million a year. The England international is expected to put pen to paper on terms that will run until June 2029.
Unfortunately, the update comes as a blow for the Red Devils as well as arch-rivals Manchester City, who were interested in acquiring the youngster’s services.
Bellingham signed for Dortmund in the summer of 2020 from Birmingham City. At BVB, the midfielder has developed into a quality midfielder and has seen his stock rise massively.
At Los Blancos, the 19-year-old will link up with the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. The La Liga giants also have other promising stars like Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Federico Valverde in their ranks.
United signed Casemiro last summer from Madrid. The Red Devils also added Christian Eriksen to their ranks, who came as a free agent and has surprised many.
The Denmark international has been preferred in the number eight position by Erik ten Hag at the Old Trafford side. However, in the 31-year-old’s absence, we lack enough quality on the bench. Fred and Scott McTominay have been inconsistent during their time at the club.

Strength in depth is evidently pivotal for teams like United to fight for major titles. Bellingham is a generational talent. If Madrid pip us to the 19-year-old’s signature, it will be a big coup for the Spanish outfit.
