PSG youngster El Chadaille Bitshiabu attracting interest from Manchester United and Liverpool
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) youngster El Chadaille Bitshiabu is being eyed by Manchester United and Premier League rivals Liverpool, according to Le10Sport.
The 17-year-old’s current contract with the Parisians runs until June 2024. Recently, the centre-back has also recently changed his representatives, with super-agent Jorge Mendes now in his camp.
Bitshiabu has burst onto the scene this season at the Parc des Princes side. Apart from the Red Devils and the Merseyside outfit, the defender is also on the radar of Bundesliaga sides Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Old Trafford side and Jurgen Klopp’s team have ‘strong interest‘ in the 17-year-old. However, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the talented centre-back.
In the current campaign, the French national has been called upon by Christophe Galtie on a number of occasions. With injuries to the likes of Presnel Kimpembe and Sergio Ramos, the youngster has become a key player at the Ligue 1 outfit.
Liverpool have struggled defensively this season. The Anfield side seemingly lacks depth in their backline. Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip are injury prone. On the other hand, Virgil van Dijk has looked like a shadow of his former self.
On the contrary, United have several quality centre-backs in their ranks. Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have been Erik ten Hag’s preferred duo at the club. Unfortunately, the two are on the sidelines at the moment.
However, we can also call upon Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof. In previous campaigns, they have partnered up on several occasions. But the two have lost their place in the starting lineup since the former Ajax head coach’s arrival in Manchester.

Therefore, it would not be a surprise to see our captain or the Swedish national depart next summer. In that case, a defensive reinforcement will be required. However, as things stand, Bitshiabu is still young and has a lot to learn.
