Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) superstar Neymar is ready to leave the Parisians next summer amidst links to Manchester United, according to Foot Mercato.

The Parc des Princes side have been trying to get rid of the Brazil international for some time now. While the 31-year-old was reluctant to part ways with the Ligue 1 outfit in the past, he is now open to a departure.

Neymar has come under a lot of criticism from PSG fans as of late. Some of the French champions’ supporters were also present in front of the Brazilian’s home recently.

While the forward is attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, he does not want to go to the Middle East right now. As things stand, the only realistic option is the Premier League, with the Red Devils and Chelsea being associated with the 31-year-old.

In the summer of 2017, Neymar signed for PSG from Barcelona. The Brazilian has had a mixed spell in the French capital over the years.

The forward’s contribution in the final third has been impressive season after season. However, the 31-year-old has struggled with multiple fitness issues during his stint at the Ligue 1 outfit so far.

United’s attack has been underwhelming in the current campaign. In the last two matches in the English top flight, we have created a number of chances but have failed to take them.

Marcus Rashford has been relied upon heavily by the Red Devils to find the back of the net on a consistent basis. Unfortunately, in recent weeks, the 25-year-old has gone off the boil a bit.

Neymar is one of the most talented players of our generation. But the Brazilian’s injury record is not an encouraging sight. Also, with the uncertainty around the Old Trafford side’s ownership, will we be able to afford the 31-year-old? Only time will tell.
