West Ham United want £120 million for Manchester United and Arsenal target Declan Rice
Premier League rivals West Ham United want £120 million to part ways with Manchester United and Arsenal target Declan Rice, according to Sky Sports (h/t Metro).
The Hammers are open to the idea of selling the 24-year-old in the upcoming transfer window. However, it will take a massive package from interested parties to convince the East London club.
Next summer, the midfielder is ready to take the next step in his career. The England international has rejected multiple offers to continue in David Moyes’ team.
As things stand, Mikel Arteta’s team are leading the race to acquire Rices’ services. However, along with the Red Devils, in the English top flight, Liverpool and Chelsea also have the midfielder on their radar.
The Gunners have been flying high this season. They looked set to win the league before slipping up to Manchester City in the title race. The North London side have relied on Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey this season. Jorginho was also signed in January.
West Ham have counted on Rice for some time now. The 24-year-old is one of their most influential players. The East London club would also accept £100 million plus a player in exchange for their captain.
Man United have Fred and Scott McTominay in their ranks. Both of them have spent many years in the Red Devils’ senior squad. However, they have been inconsistent.
Thankfully, the Old Trafford side added much-needed quality to the engine room with Casemiro and Christian Eriksen last summer. The Brazil international has been especially influential under Erik ten Hag, cementing his place in the number six position.

For now, getting a holding midfielder does not seem to be the most important thing for the Red Devils. Therefore, it will be interesting to see whether the Manchester-based club will opt to spend a considerable sum on Rice in the coming months.
