Former Manchester United ace Louis Saha is “not worried” about Casemiro leaving the club amidst interest from Bayern Munich in his signature.

The 31-year-old has thrived at the Old Trafford side since his arrival in the summer of 2022 from Real Madrid. As a result, the Bavarians are eyeing to swoop in and acquire his services in the upcoming transfer window.

Speaking to Betfred (h/t Manchester Evening News), Saha, who spent four years at United, is confident that the Red Devils will not lose the Brazil international to the Bundesliga giants.

“I’m not worried about him leaving this summer and I don’t believe that Bayern Munich will provide a greater challenge for Casemiro than the challenge of taking Manchester United back to the top.”

Bayern are a dominant force in Germany. Most seasons, the Bavarians cruise past their competition in the Bundesliga. At the moment, they have the likes of Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka in their engine room.

On the other hand, United are looking to make strides under Erik ten Hag. The Dutch manager has found a bit of success in his short time in Manchester, winning the Carabao Cup.

Initially, the former Ajax head coach tried to integrate Casemiro into the team slowly. Subsequently, the Brazilian has become a pivotal part of the gaffer’s plans.

Ten Hag has preferred pairing the 31-year-old with Christian Eriksen in the Red Devils midfield. The former Madrid star acts as the enforcer, while the Denmark international brings creativity to the middle of the park.

Casemiro has brought much-needed quality to United’s engine room. Apart from the Brazilian, we have Scott McTominay and Fred in our ranks, capable of playing in the pivot position. But they are evidently not as good as the former Madrid star.

Hopefully, the 31-year-old will stay at United for years to come and bring a fraction of the success that the midfielder enjoyed with Los Blancos to the Old Trafford side.
