Chelsea eye PSG raid on Manchester United targets Acharaf Hakimi and Neymar
Premier League rivals Chelsea are looking to sign Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) duo and Manchester United targets Achraf Hakimi and Neymar, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke on Football Insider (h/t Express).
The Blues are plotting a move for the stars who play for the French champions. To that end, the Parisians are willing to part ways with the Moroccan and the Brazil international. Lionel Messi and Renato Sanches could also leave the Parc des Princes side next summer.
Neymar is currently tied down at PSG until June 2025. Therefore, it will take a massive bid to poach the 31-year-old from the Ligue 1 outfit in the upcoming transfer window.
As for Hakimi, he is also available. The Stamford Bridge side have been eyeing the 24-year-old for some time now and tried to sign him from Inter Milan a few years back.
Chelsea have Reece James in their rank. The England international is one of the best right-backs in the country. Malo Gusto is also set to join them next summer. The Blues have also invested heavily in their forward line in the last two transfer windows. Therefore, it does not make sense for them to pursue the PSG duo.
On the other hand, United have Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot in their ranks. The English national has been a regular fixture in the starting lineup as of late. However, the 25-year-old, along with the former FC Porto star, has been inconsistent under Erik ten Hag.
In the attack, the Red Devils have had to rely on Marcus Rashford to find the back of the net consistently. Other forwards in the team have not contributed a considerable amount in the final third in the current campaign.

Hakimi and Neymar are two of the best players in their respective positions. United would evidently be a better team with the Moroccan and Brazilian in our ranks. However, it remains to be seen whether Chelsea and the Red Devils will go head-to-head for the duo.
