Manchester United target Randal Kolo Muani subject of heavy interest from Paris St. Germain
According to Bild (h/t The Express), Manchester United’s plan to raid Eintracht Frankfurt’s forward Randal Kolo Muani could be halted due to concrete interest from Paris St. Germain.
It is claimed that Kolo Muani’s national team captain Kylian Mbappe is the main driving force behind the French outfit going for the forward.
Kolo Muani has enjoyed a fruitful season with Frankfurt having only joined them last summer in a free transfer and was a key figure in France’s run to the final at the FIFA World Cup.
He is currently one of the hot prospects out of the French national team and it seems like Mbappe is keen on bringing the partnership at the international level to the club level. It is believed that Frankfurt are willing to part ways with the player but only if their valuation of £88million is met by any team.
United manager Erik ten Hag is also a fan of the player and sees the forward as a potential plan B if the club fails to land the primary targets for the striker position.
According to Bild (h/t the Express), United have made the most concrete interest in the French forward as of now but the comrade between Mbappe and Kolo Muani could swing the player’s signature towards Paris.
Hopefully, he realises he will struggle for first-team minutes there in Mbappe’s presence and if Hugo Ekitike stays there for next season. But with Lionel Messi’s future uncertain, there could be a place for Kolo Muani at PSG, and that would obviously worry the Red Devils.
United are in dire need of a proper no. 9 and acquiring one is of the primary concern for the manager and staff. The team has progressed a lot over the season but we need some quality signings to reach the next level.
There is a good core of players at the club currently but our form drops a big margin when we miss some of the important players in the lineup.
Hence, it is important to add overall quality to the squad for us to be able to compete with the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal for the title. Appointing Ten Hag has been one of the best decisions the club has made in recent times and could arguably be seen as the club’s signing of the season.

He has taken a team depleted of confidence to another level whilst dealing perfectly with many off-field issues. Now is the time to back him and allow him to field a team capable of challenging the top teams in Europe.
With the ownership situation expected to be resolved in the next month or so, it could then provide us with a clear idea of the targets the club is pursuing and the probability of landing their signature.
