Manchester United are willing to offer Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane £300,000 a week to acquire his services next summer, according to The Sun.

The Red Devils are hoping to take advantage of the North London side’s miseries and snap up the England international, who is their number one target.

To that end, the Old Trafford side ‘will increase’ the striker’s pay packet if he decides to join. The Manchester-based club want to partner the 29-year-old with Marcus Rashford, who they are also looking to tie down to a new £300,000-a-week contract.

United are confident of getting a hold of Kane’s signature. The English skipper is set to enter the final 12 months of his deal with Spurs at the end of the current campaign.

The 29-year-old has been one of the best players in the world for some time now at Tottenham. However, the Lilywhites have been unable to win any silverware for 14 years now.

Kane recently became the record goalscorer for both Spurs and the Three Lions. But while the striker has a galore of individual accolades, collective trophies are missing from his cabinet.

United have had to rely on Rashford to find the back of the net consistently since Erik ten Hag’s arrival. The 25-year-old has shouldered the burden of the Red Devils’ attack for the last few months.

In the number nine position Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst are the gaffer’s only two natural options. Unfortunately, the French national has been unpredictable due to his fitness issues, while the Burnley loanee has left a lot to be desired up front.

Therefore, we could evidently do with a prolific striker in our ranks. Hopefully, the Old Trafford side are able to convince Kane to make a switch to the Theatre of Dreams next summer. His 26 goals in 43 games this season just go to show that he is still in the form of his life despite Spurs’ inconsistency.
