PSG ‘preparing’ £133 million bid for Manchester United target and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are ‘preparing’ to submit a £133 million bid to sign Manchester United target and Napoli star Victor Osimhen, according to Football Insider (h/t Manchester Evening News).
As a result, the French giants will move into pole position to acquire the services of the Nigeria international ahead of the Red Devils. However, the Old Trafford side are still keen on him.
For United, Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane is the top priority. But the 24-year-old is also on the Manchester-based club’s radar, alongside Premier League rivals Chelsea.
PSG have a stacked front line for now. The Parisians have Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar at their disposal. However, even with the firepower in their ranks, the Ligue 1 outfit have been unable to make it far in the Champions League in the last two seasons.
Apart from the magnificent trio, Christophe Galtier’s team also lack depth in their attack. Hugo Ekitike is the only relatively experienced forwards on the bench at the Parc des Princes side.
As for United, Erik ten Hag has had to rely on Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst for the majority of the season. The French national has had fitness issues in the current campaign.
As a result, the Red Devils got the Holland international on loan from Burnley in January to add cover up front. But apart from Marcus Rashford, none of our attackers has contributed considerably this season.
Therefore, we evidently need to add a marksman to our squad. But will United be beaten by PSG in the race for Osimhen? Only time will tell.

The Nigerian has been pivotal to Napoli’s success in the current campaign. The Partenopei are on course to lift their first Serie A title in over three decades. Hopefully, the 24-year-old will make a move to the Theatre of Dreams if we are unable to get Kane.
