PSG earmark Tottenham Hotspur striker and Manchester United target Harry Kane as ‘priority’
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have earmarked Tottenham Hotspur striker and Manchester United target Harry Kane as a ‘priority’, according to Le Parisien (h/t The Sun).
The Ligue 1 outfit have the England international at the top of their wishlist for the upcoming transfer window. They want to partner the 29-year-old with Kylian Mbappe in the French capital.
Kane’s current contract with Spurs is set to expire in the summer of 2024. As a result, the striker’s future at the North London side is uncertain. Therefore, it remains to be seen what the Lilywhites will decide to do with the England skipper.
PSG have a stacked front line for now. Apart from Mbappe, Christophe Galtier’s team can call upon the services of Lionel Messi and Neymar.
However, they have still not been able to break their duck in the Champions League. However, the Ligue 1 outfit have dominated the French top flight for several years now and are almost guaranteed silverware every year.
For Kane, even though he has been world-class for Tottenham Hotspur for some time now, trophies have eluded him in North London. This season, the 29-year-old is once again set to miss out on lifting a title.
On the other hand, United seem to be going in the right direction under Erik ten Hag. We won our first trophy in six years after lifting the Carabao Cup earlier in the campaign.
However, the Dutch manager has evidently lacked firepower at his disposal. Anthony Martial has been injured for most of the season, while Wout Weghorst has left a lot to be desired since signing from Burnley on loan in January.
