Manchester United interest “a big thing” for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani
Manchester United are interested in Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani ahead of next summer, which is “a big thing” for the France international.
The striker is attracting a lot of attention with the upcoming transfer window approach. However, the Bundesliga outfit are keen on retaining the 24-year-old’s services.
However, speaking to Caught Offside (h/t Express), journalist Christian Falk believes it will be difficult for Die Adler to keep a hold of Kolo Muani. The Old Trafford side are seen as a big attraction for the forward.
“Everyone’s getting the feeling that it’s no longer realistic for Frankfurt to keep Randal Kolo Muani for one year more.
“Manchester United is a big thing for Muani. They don’t have the right striker for this position; look at Wout Weghorst – he’s only scored two goals for them. They are preparing an offer for him. He knows that and if you have United in your head, it’s hard to concentrate on Frankfurt.”
Erik ten Hag has prioritised the addition of a number nine to the squad in the summer of 2023. The Red Devils have identified Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane and Napoli star Victor Osimhen.
However, the France international is also admired by United. The 24-year-old signed for Frankfurt as a free agent last summer. Now, his value has potentially risen beyond £100 million.
In the current campaign, Kolo Muani has been in fine form. He has made 35 appearances in all competitions for Oliver Glasner’s team, scoring 16 goals and providing 14 assists.
The 24-year-old shone for France in the 2022 World Cup. Recently, he started in the attack for Les Bleus in their 4-0 win over the Netherlands in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
Ten Hag does not have an abundance of talent to choose from for the number nine position. Anthony Martial has been injury prone this season, while Wout Weghorst is on loan at the club until the end of the campaign.

Therefore, we evidently need to bolster the forward line in the coming months. In case the Old Trafford side are unable to compel the likes of Kane and Osimhen, Kolo Muani seems like a decent alternative option to bring to the Theatre of Dreams.
